Jaikal Vishwamitra Shandilya popularly known as Dr. Jackal is an evil scientist who works for Tamraj Kilvish in spreading evil in the world.
Dr. Jackal is one of the most brilliant scientists of the present time but sadly he chose to take the path of darkness and evil because that is where he sought refuge after being rejected by the scientific community. He creates deadly inventions with the sole purpose of causing destruction and suffering in the world. He is constantly heard saying "POWER!!!" throughout the series which is his catch phrase or in Hindi, "Takiya Kalam".
He is one of the main antagonists of Shaktimaan because of Shaktimaan's enmity with Tamraj Kilvish who happens to be the mentor of Jackal.
His inventions range from technological devices to living creatures with superpowers who work under his command.
Biography
It is not clear when Jaikal Vishwamitra Shandilya was born but as a student he studied with Gyanesh Vishwas, the father of Geeta Vishwas. Both were childhood friends and until university admission, they were together. However, at the time of admission, his professor did not recommend him to get the University Scholarship as he believed that Jaikal is not worthy of it at that time. Dejected by his fate, Jaikal found his future uncertain.
It was at that time that he came under the radar of Tamraj Kilvish who offered to mentor him and provide all the financial and technological support to conduct his research and experimentation. And with the help of Tamraj Kilvish, Jaikal eventually became the Great Evil Scientist Dr. Jackal.
Dr. Jackal is well versed in almost all forms of science and technology known to man and his brilliant mind is always ready to learn more. Whenever he is at work, he is fully focused and dedicated and doesn't like being disturbed.
The most favorite activity of Dr. Jackal is human cloning. He has perfected the science of it so much that he is capable of creating a clone of anyone within minutes contrary to the rest of the scientific world. Jackal mostly works in his lab situated in a space station far away from Earth. However, he also has various hidden laboratories throughout the world.

- Clone Shaktimaan
- Light Man
- Kitanu Man
Dr. Jackal's brilliant mind came handy whenever he was imprisoned. He managed to escape every single time despite being captured over and over by Shaktimaan and handed over to law enforcement.
The current whereabouts of Dr. Jackal is unknown but he might soon make a come back.
